A Semester Full of Food

Despite having not posted for almost two months - collego my eggo is back and ready to show off this semesters eats. I won't bore you with all of the restaurant and recipe details this time, but I promise in the coming weeks to report back on all my new restaurant adventures (thank you Parent's Weekend!)

Here's the semester so far....

A Very Vegan (Homemade) Rosh Hashanah...

[quinoa salad with kale, tempeh, onions and mushrooms: recipe from Julie's blog]

[vegan baked apple]

From Prickly Pear....

[sweet potato cakes]

[prickly pear's butternut squash soup]

[scallop and shrimp quesadillas]

[portabella vegetarian skillet fajitas]

[chicken and shrimp quesadillas]

From Melange....

[duck nachos]

[chicken lettuce wraps]

[the river rock - marinated bistro steak]

[tuna duo]

[buddha roll]

[dessert sampler: pumpkin cake, apple turnover, chocolate decadence]

Not pictured but well worth trying out...

Blue Tractor  - American BBQ. Delicious barbeque and sandwich options. Great for a casual date night or for dinner with friends.

Lena - Latin American cuisine. Amazing selection of classic Latin American foods with an exotic twist. The very modern atmosphere is great for a later evening meal and unlike any other restaurant in Ann Arbor (make sure to check out the salsa club right below).

Shalimar - Indian. Great lunch value - enjoy a full Indian feast complete rounded out with soup, salad, rice and naan all under $10. Try out the outdoor seating when the weather is nicer.
